Holiday Hauls Part Three: Xarata’s Sale

Xarata/Samantha over at Vox (where my first makeup blog resides and I still update) had a sale a little while back. Back then, I was starting to get into bath and body products, of course, it was all thanks to Inan’s constant haul-ing. Samantha was selling a few bath and body products so I decided to pick up a couple of them. I got Because I’m The Princess Rock Candy (Lush type) Roll On and a Sugar Scrub from Mad City Sue in Cinnamon Frosting.

Now I am not sure if you remember from Holiday Hauls Part One, there was a picture of another package, apart from CYS. Well, that was from Samantha and it was a pretty hefty box, so how could two little items need such a big box?

Because Samantha added tons and tons of extras in there!! This was the contents of the entire box! She actually split the remaining samples that were unsold between all the people who bought from her sale. It’s like a Christmas present come early because of the awesome amount of samples in there!

Check them all out!!

In addition to the two items I bought, here are the others:

CozyMoments Whipped Body Frosting in Sweet Witches Brew (Sweeeetttt!)
ELF lipstick in Nicely Nude
EG Minerals Nude Cream Eyeshadow Base
Aromaleigh Rocks!Sonic Lip Samples (Wow! They are so so bright!)
Joppa eyeshadow samples
Silk Naturals eyeshadow samples
Dreamworld Foundation samples (I am so thrilled with these! Always wanted to try Dreamworld)
Miscellaneous samples from MMBB and Dayna’s Minerals.

I can’t say it enough but THANK YOU SO MUCH, SAMANTHA!!

I have one more part of my holiday hauls to go (for now, hehheh!) and that’s Bathed&Infused, I promise that I have saved the best for last! :)))

Holiday Hauls Part Two: Cozy Moments

Holiday Hauls Part Two today features Cozy Moments.

Cozy Moments actually have two online storefronts, www.cozymoments.com and an Etsy store. Right now, their website is closed till January 2009 but you can still purchase from their Etsy store. What’s the difference? Well, on their Etsy store, you can’t choose the scent you want but buy from their ready made stock as opposed to customizing the scents to the products when you buy from their website. But that doesn’t really matter, the Etsy store is well stocked and has lots of yummy scents all the time.

And guess what! I just received word that Cozy Moments’ Etsy store is running a one day AFTER CHRISTMAS SALE! From 26 December 12am till 10pm, if you buy two to five products, you get 20%, if you buy six products and above, you get 30% off! Sale price, however, is before shipping! For American customers, I would say it’s a pretty good deal!

However, my haul came from another sale. It was 50% off international shipping during the Black Friday sales. Since bath and body products are heavy, shipping can usually be as much as what the products cost, I immediately jumped on this sale! I had a couple of convos with Michelle of Cozy Moments regarding shipping and her replies were super prompt. I placed my order within a couple of days of initiating a convo with her. Oh and Michelle was really nice in the Etsy convos! We were also joking about how funny it was to start and end the convos with Michelles. Like Dear Michelle, Cheers, Michelle. Like we were talking to ourselves. LOL!

Ignore the little brown envelope on the left, it contains a Lyna cream haul I received at the same time. So anyway, Cozy’s package surprised me because Michelle told me it would be shipped on 3 December but I never got a shipping notice. Wasn’t sure how Cozy worked but I assumed that standard practises meant that I would get a shipping notice from either ups/paypal/etailer. So I thought I was in for a long wait. But I was pleasantly surprised when I received the package on 10 December. What’s more the shipping date was the 2 December! Which means that Michelle actually finished the order ahead of her own estimate!

– Roll Ons, in Winter Candy Apple (B&BW type), Pink Sugared Chocolate and Baby Grace (Philosophy type)

– Foaming Bath and Shower Cream Soap in Amazing Grace (Philosophy type)

It’s a relatively small haul. Mostly because she was running low on stock so there wasn’t much selections to pick from. I suppose that’s good for me too! I got a little freebie of Goat’s Milk Soap in Vanilla Breeze and mygosh, the scent of this is true to its description and very very strong! In fact it was so strong it scented the whole package! Amazing what one little piece of soap can do!

Here’s a close up on the Bath Cream, I haven’t tried it yet though because I need to get a bath pouf. The one at home is really limp and straggly looking. It look so smooth and creamy, doesn’t it! I can’t wait to try it!!!

Cozy Moments is definitely a company worth ordering from. The CS is lovely, the package was shipped out fast and well packed and the products itself are gorgeous, with professionally done labels. If there’s another good sale, you can bet that I would definitely place another order!

Holiday Hauls Part One: Cleanse Your Soul

During the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, I made a bunch of orders that got shipped to me after my exams ended. Perfect after examination presents to myself for working hard! Since they are just too many to post in one single entry, I decided to break them up randomly into 4 parts. The first part features Cleanse Your Soul!

Judy was having a $5 shipping sale for the whole month of December and if internationals can get what they want fitted into a Flat Rate envelope, we got the $5 shipping too. Obviously I couldn’t resist it and immediately emailed Judy the products I was thinking of getting. She replied back really quickly and was helpful and pleasant throughout the exchange! I love professional CS like that! She shipped my package out on the 9 December and I received it on the 19. Inclusive of a weekend, it took 8 business days to get to me, so that’s pretty darned quick!

My package arrived in Flat Rate box within a Flat Rate envelope.

(flat rate envelope)

(flat rate box within the envelope!)

So if all your goodies can fit into the box, you get $5 shipping! Isn’t that so worth it?!

And here’s my haul!!

I got…

– 3-in-1 Body Bubbles (4oz), in State Fair Delights [All the best of walking down the midway at the State Fair. Lemon Shake-up, Funnel Cakes and Cotton Candy]

– Creamy Oil (2oz), in Yuletide Treasures [Grandma’s fudge cookies on the stove. White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and lots of creamy vanilla sugar.]

– Body Milk (2oz), in Heavenly Peace [Candy Canes with the famous CYS Marshmallow Cream]

– Sample Sized Soap, in Dulcet [Toasted Hazelnuts blended with English Toffee, Brown Sugar and Vanilla Cream]

I love the sample soap! It’s in a little plastic container where you can pop the soap out to use it and back in when you are done! I think it’s really worth it for $2! Judy included some yummy peppermints and a free Yoghurt Soap in Winter Linen [Crisp, fresh linen blended with the perfect pine scent]. I took a quick sniff of Winter Linen and it smells of washing powder and laundry rooms to me. I am not sure why anyone would want a scent like that but since I have always been curious about scents like this, I am partly grateful that I didn’t have to spend money on a scent I am not excited about and partly disappointed that I didn’t get a more delicious one. But oh well, such is the luck of the draw….

My scent and product reviews will be coming up soon and, of course, more holiday hauls to come! By the way, I just placed my 2nd CYS order last night! I just couldn’t resist the $5 shipping! Remember it’s on till 31 December and I think it’s a really great deal for B&B newbies like me or people who haven’t tried CYS yet! Seriously, you won’t be disappointed!
