My Makeup Stash

My makeup collection really started in 2007. Before that, all I had were bits and pieces given to me by my mother. I started buying more makeup after I got into the whole mineral makeup thing. I still use mineral makeup foundation because I honestly prefer the texture to it then other types of foundation but I am still searching for THE perfect shade which explains all my samples. All those little samples makes it look as if I have a really huge collection but yeah now you know the truth. They just take up more space!

Anyway, I think I have a pretty well-rounded collection. I have some MAC, I have some drugstore and everything else in between. I have pretty much everything I would need for a basic face routines. The only department I would say I haven’t developed yet would be eye stuff because I am not good at eye techniques but I do have some mascaras, liners, shadows.

Oh wells, let’s not ramble but let the pictures speak for themselves!

So this is my new plastic six drawer cabinet! At the moment, most of my stuff fits pretty snugly in but I may have to do some rearrangements if any new stuff comes in!

My first drawer contains foundation samples. Right at the back are my very first mineral makeup products from Bare Escentuals. I still remember that I picked up the starter kit at Sephora in Disneyland. And when I got back, I started googling mineral makeup like crazy and started the addiction. Next to the BE items are the Palgantong Theatrical Powder, one of the most highly raved loose powders from Taiwan/Hong Kong. I haven’t used it yet though. The other full size item is my Lumiere Medium Beige in the Cashmere formula. I have another one in Veena Velvet that I am using at the moment.

My second drawer of face stuff. More foundations from Joppa and Earthen Glow and then stuff like concealers, finishing powders from various companies.

This is, hands-down, my favourite drawer of the bunch! It contains all my full size blushes! Let’s see, I have two MAC blushes, one is a Beauty Powder in Eversun (I bought the last one from the Raffles City MAC counter!) and a regular blush in Fleur Power. There’s also cheek stamps from Etude House (the circular peach containers) and Missha pop blushes (white compacts wedged in the centre). And then the grid-patterned blushes are from Daiso, each one for only $2. I think I have all four colours, orange, pink, beige and brown. Only Orange and Pink are visible, the rest are below somewhere. Then I have Milani Glimmer Stripes hidden in the back. And of course, my Everyday Minerals blushes. Get ready for this, I have 11 full size blushes! Two pressed powders in All Smiles and Best Friends and 9 loose powders in Apple, B&B, Back to School, Nick Nack, Wafflecone, Launch Party, Summer Stroll and Swimming Pool. And then we move on to my fourth drawer…

Which is filled with blush samples in jars! I have another ton of blushes in baggies in my little box but that’s for another entry! I have samples from Alima, Pure Luxe, Lumiere, Silk Naturals, Meow, J.Lynne, Aubrey Nicole, Everyday Minerals and Earthen Glow.

Fifth drawer is a bit of a hodgepodge. It holds glows from Lumiere and Silk Naturals as well as couple of bigger blush samples. And then there is my MAC Mineralize Satinfinish foundation, BB+ Cream and a Wet ‘n’ Wild tinted moisturizer.

Last drawer holds most of my eye stuff. I am not a big eyeshadow girl so I don’t have much. I have some samples from The She Space, palettes from Estee Lauder, Carslan and a single one from Canmake. Also I have dumped all my Korean products boxes in here because they are too cute not to keep!

So that is my current collection of makeup. It may be small but I am really proud of it. The most significant additions to my collection has been my hauls from Korea and Macau (of which I owe you an entry!). I am trying to stop buying so much makeup because I think I have a lot to use up! This little lot should be enough to keep me powdered and pretty till the clock strikes 12 on 31 December 2009!

Whoa-Nice collection & of course I’m always drawn to the not easily attainable asian brands.

I think your name will be in blue if it’s a link (i.e., if you type in the URL for your blog where it prompts you for your website when commenting) πŸ™‚ HTH!

Those Daiso blushes are found at Daiso! It’s a Japanese 100 yen type store where everything is for SGD2! If I see them, I will get them for you. But for some reason, they are rarely in stores anymore. Either sold out or discontinued!!

Hey there! So this is where you’ve been when you’re not on vox! Your stuff is so neatly organized. And I can’t believe that you still keep everything that you don’t use anymore. I get rid of mine. I’m one of those people who purge every few months… to get rid of the evidence, hehe.

Yep, this is where I have been hiding out! Lol!

I think we opposites, I just can’t bear to throw away everything seeing as I spent so much money on them. And this is scary to say but I haven’t tried at least half of all my samples so my HG could be sitting somewhere in there and I wouldn’t know!
