Product Review: CYS Sample Soap

Finally, my first product review is done!

But before that, let’s do a little housekeeping. The Product Review posts are my thoughts and opinions on the product. I am in no way affiliated to this companies and am not paid to do these. Products vary from person to person, so use this as a guide not as a be all and end all. I will also not be reviewing the scents for the products, this will be done in a separate posts just only for scents! Sorry, I am a little anal about keeping my posts organized according to their categories because I tend to ramble and if I do both at the same time, well, let’s just say you guys will be reading an essay rather than a simple review!

Cleanse Your Soul Sample Soap, $2.00

They say: A customer came up with this idea…and it’s brilliant! Now, you can order my silk and shea soap in the same 2 oz. container that the tarts come in. Perfect for testing new scents! Even more perfect for travelling, because the soap comes in it’s own container w/ a lid. Just pop the soap out, use it and then pop it back into the container to travel home.

I really like how this sample soap is packaged in the tart containers than in just a little plastic bag. I find the black containers very convenient for use in the bathroom. The soap pops in and out easily and because the container is waterproof, I don’t have to worry too much about water causing the soap to disappear faster. These containers would also be perfect for travelling if I want to take my CYS soaps around with me.

For the price, I find that this is the most economical and affordable option to try out new scents rather than buying little sample vials for $0.99, which is what many companies offer. If used continuously, the soap lasts for about 2 weeks, giving you a very good sense of the scent and enough time to decide if you would like to repurchase it. It’s also a great way to sample out whether the Silk and Shea soap works well for your skin!

The soap was amazingly scented, the entire time I was using it in the bath, the scent swirled continuously around me! Although the scent doesn’t linger on the skin (very good if you don’t like the scent you have chosen), it does make your bathroom smell very nice for awhile! The soap lathered up heavily and quickly. Not fluffly lathers but rather slick ones that made soaping myself up a breeze. It rinses off cleanly and makes my entire body feel squeakly clean. I don’t feel particularly moisturizing so that’s something to note for people who needs tons of moisture.

I am definitely going to repurchase this soap over and over again. In fact I did buy two more sample soaps in Yuzu Coconut and Joyful and Triumphant in my second order!
